Inspiration fails me at the start,
Taking away my poetic art,

Binding me in a spell that bursts,
Haunting my mind with a poets curse,

Having me seek my beloved words,
With each one found diminishing the hurt.

Xeo....So true, that pain you feel when the words won't come.  I think we all take spells like that....but only the true poets agonize over it so.  Hardrock

A painful thing to experience indeed. You captured the feelings well in your poem, excellent work!

Xeonox:

I know exactly what you mean.  This is one of the most frustrating things in my life, too.  It is especially frustrating, and agonizing, when I feel pain elsewhere in life, but the words just won't come when I want to write about it.

I am glad I wrote this poem. I see that many of you are in the same boat as I am. fractal007, you hit the mark. Right now I am unable to write any poetry. It has been over two to three weeks. I am just going to hang in their  and so should you.

A lost poet soon to be found, and once he's found true happiness will take into form.
Good luck!

Hmm... can relate to this! And it gets frustrating sometimes when no words will come forth... and then to have the blessed relief that just one line will give!    You expressed it well.
