Death will come some time too cold, Slaying me some winter night, I’ll slip between dark and light, Death will not harvest my soul, Dark and Light, I pace the space of between, Just a soul, Always cold, I see not be, stay unseen, Dark and Light. I watch the ones still living, Roaming unnoticed and free, Witnessing things I can’t be, From this place unrelenting Gloom |

Living Still Life will rise and play a part, Reigning warmth upon my cold, Into the arms, I'll slip to hold Softness resting 'gainst my heart. Warm to hold, My goal to reach the in-between. Free of heart, Filled in part, Disguised the feel, mine, sateen Warm to hold. I draw you to me, death, Staving you off, with a sigh. Each move, a step, 'nother bye Life, "living still", with each breath. ~Wynter < !signature--> "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 12-01-2000).] |

Cool poem. I like your second line: Slaying me some winter night, That's a good one. Good imagery that compliments the theme. |

Love the poem, and Wynter's counter response. Of yours, Prof. Gloom, I saw the freedom of death, how it can be the final cut to all restraining strings. I like that image, when I think of death, and yours painted that image clear. With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |
