I hear you knocking on my door
but I can't let you in.
It's cold out there yes i know
and you got the cutest little grin.
You tell me that i can trust you,
if i let you in you wont do no harm.
but I got something in me,
when i start to care i set off this little alarm.
I don't hear it but it must be loud.
Whenever it rings the one i care about leaves.
I dont even see it coming,
kinda like night time theives.
If i let you in you'll put me to bed one night
promising in the morning you'll be there.
When I wake up and take a look around
I wont be able to find you anywhere.
There won't be any traces
nothing left behind.
Then i'll be left alone crying again
cuz
I thought you were mine

i loved the description here....it reads cute to me and i couldnt resist a smile despite the solemn subject matter of this poem.....
