(sorry about my depressing writing lately...hopefully soon I will be writing about butterflies and happy skies....) What seemed to be so right Fell down like a house of cards You have forgotten, I’m sure I am the one left with the scars Why did you give up? We could have weathered this storm You said you felt safe with me And inside me you felt warm But the second things got complicated You fled like a scared little boy You left me broken and used Like an old forgotten worn out toy You think that Love comes easy I have a feeling that’s not right It doesn’t come in a moment Between two lovers who share the night We had something special A bond that is so rare A foundation for something deeper But it seems you didn’t care I wish you lots of luck In writing the perfect love song What you fail to realize Is that you had the lyrics all along |

Oh my. This is wonderful. I'm serious. The last stanza just HIT me..i think its incredibly well writen. It leaves ends the poem with the perfect note. I also loved the part where u said "You have forgotten, I’m sure I am the one left with the scars" because...well, something like that happened in MY life... people love things they can relate to, i guess love, Ipek |

Oh my, can I just say that I understand? This is so true, so sad, and such a good poem. You don't have to write happy things if you don't feel happy, thats what DARK passions is for, right? Smile through your tears now, if you will, I will. Sandra |

Looks like we're writing along similar lines lady - I know how you're feeling... I have to give an emphatic "damn!" at those last lines tho - they hit hard. Hugs, Me |

sometimes. . . we just don't realize it. . .until it's too late. . . but there are always new lyrics to be written. . . particularly about butterflies and happy skies. . . -------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
