A heavy cleansing rain is falling today,
And after these words,
I'll allow the rain to cleanse this soul,
Whilst listening to their cheerful chords.

There is one who hides in a world without feeling,
They don't wish to go there,
They may get hurt,
It may be painful.

But life is made up of pain,
The good and the bad,
Without a balance of the two,
You'll only end up alone and sad.

There is another who seeks to halt creation,
Who doesn't comprehend creative outlets,
Who doesn't realise that creativity is a necessary part of my being,
Thoughtfulness sends my senses reeling.

To create music, a gift for those who can,
To write words on paper have your readers understand,
Have them laughing or crying with you,
Kind of like a helping hand.

To want to create a better world,
The immediate world I live in,
To want to make the garden grow,
Or making my home feel loved and lived in.

They are not a scam,
Not a way to spend money,
But a means of expressing myself,
To surround myself with beauty don't you see?

Two examples of people with limited vision,
Not willing to experience or understand the gifts of life,
Existing not living, talking but not comprehending,
A life clothed in misery and strife.

*I believe every time you put your words to paper, you change. Each feeling is set free, and you may follow.....*

Thank you so much for this write.. There are more people than you'd think that fall into those 2 categories.. And when they are close to home, and don't understand that creativity (whether appreciated by others or just oneself) needs to be let out, life can be just one misunderstanding after another. This was a beautiful affirmation to a source of my happiness. Thanks again.

This was great.......i think that through creativity we express who we truly are.
Great poem......hit the spot.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
