You read your good book, Say your prayers. Try to lift me From my despair. You try to show me The light within. You try to save me From my sins. You say I’ll change. Only time will tell. But now I’ll raise some Cain, I’ll raise some hell. I’ll walk the fire Dance in the rain, I’ll drink the poison Until the last drop remains. Heaven knows I’m no angel. You clutch your beads. You’re saving grace. But you have needs, It’s on your face. Let me be your savior. I can heal. Let me be the touch, You want to feel. And you will change, And time will tell. We’ll raise some Cain, We’ll raise some hell, Yes, you will change It’s plain to see It’s in your eyes You’re just like me. Heaven knows, you’re no angel. < !signature--> Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox [This message has been edited by Ron K. Fox (edited 10-30-2000).] |

Wow! This is terrific! It could be made into a song! Liked the imagery it evoked... take care! ~ Tara ~ "A poem should not mean, but be" - Archibald MacLeish |

Love this, Ron. This states my feeling for "that" man, before he so rudely dumped me. We had such a good time being bad.. Damn! I am so bored with enforced good ... Sandra |

Is anybody an angel? Well besides me of course! but great job! "I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust." I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
