"The Windows of My Past"

He looks right past me when I'm there
And cry to him words of soft mean.
Am just a ghostly figure now
Afloat in life, that only dreams.

I sleep, not in a way of rest,
Each morn and night, no different then.
An easing of the mind can't come,
I'm all but drowned, by him again.

With death ahead the only goal,
In shadows tread I, darkness looms.
The days of youth behind me now,
So hardened heart and I, share gloom.

I dreamt of how it use to be,
A beauty I, with special looks.
And now just plain, at least to him,
No hands do touch, what he once took.

Sorrow fills the emptiness,
(Although I gave, he never stole),
Of never giving up and yet,
No longer warm, this heart lies cold.

What pity, mine, of what should be,
When time has lost the best of we,

~Wynter Bliss

*thank you Walter for the title inspiration

such a sad poem, of loved neglected and turned away from. I feel the pain as you miss the touch and recognition of a love. Conveys very well. Ron

Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox

Yes Ron,  you saw the neglect that I wrote about, I sort of call it being alone but not alone. Thank you for you reading.
I appreciate it.

You never cease to amaze me. Yet another wonderful poem!
