Inside the safest place < !signature-->you are tucked away struggling to grow bigger getting stronger everyday God placed you there with love His plans for you were great but someone else must play God and forever change your fate Right now you are just a fusion of an egg and a sperm Your little pin sized body is no bigger than a worm You will not die in surgery that method is obsolete it only takes a little pill to stop your growing hands and feet You will die conveniently on someone's bathroom floor your life will end too soon you deserved so much more... They say you are not a person just a clot made up of tissue But when does a soul begin to live? Not even a doctor can debate that issue. So what will become of you now? will your unwanted soul ever be free? will you be born to someone else... or will your death haunt her memory? "And I still believe you can never have too much fiction because reality is such a bore..." - REA [This message has been edited by Lady Lost (edited 10-23-2000).] |

God! powerful and pungent piece of writing here. The same old moral question, but I believe when something is a life, it already has it's soul and feelings both emotional and physical and to end any life be it unborn baby or puppy or kitten -whatever- is murder. I will always feel this way. Nice to see I am not alone again in my reasoning. Wonderful work hon Isis *Good will towards all beings is the highest religion* ~Isis~Goddess~~Sovereign of the Spirit~ |

And no offense Lisa, but I think there are times when it's not only moral, but the best thing to do. If abortion is used as an alternate to responsible birth control, then I think that's taking it a bit far... but trying telling a pregnant teenager who was just raped that it's evil... I don't know - again, no offense, but there are times... Beth - I think this is sad and obviously a painful poem. Peace to all the hearts out there who've ever had to contemplate, much less go through this. Chris |

Your poems seem to come from real life experience. Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.) |
