We sat on the steps Warm sun Beating down. Not a word was spoken You just put your hand In mine. Your tears washed away The dirt on my palm Your lips brushed The beating vein. You put my hand Down. And walked away. ~ Tara ~ 13th September 2000 "A poem should not mean, but be" - Archibald MacLeish |

Tara...you do so well with these type poems. You say so much without saying much. Excellent. Hardrock |

The strength of these few images is excellent... damn good poem here... K "He looked across the silky surface of the Severn... it was a famously difficult river with fierce tides..." From Jack Maggs |

Great poem, so short and the feeling of sadness is so sharp... Wonderfully written, take care! "Most girls want a man with the mean green Don't wanna dance if he can't be Everything that I dream up A man that understands real love" |
