I can sweep away your cobwebs, I can wipe away your tears. But I can’t sweep away your loneliness, I can’t wipe away your fears. I can’t reach inside of you, And heal your broken heart. I can’t put things back together, When they’re broken all apart. But I can be here for you, When you cry out in the night. And I can try to hold you, Until the morning light. I can wrap my arms around you, And let you feel my love. And when I touch your sleeping face, It won’t be with leather glove. I’ve strength enough for both of us, But I’ll give you time to grieve. Until you find your love again, With someone who won’t leave. So hang on tight, my darling, Hide yourself in me. I’ll be waiting inside your computer, At Netpoets dot com DP. |
