I'm tired of loving and being ignored This patience test has gotten too old. Feelings denied and passion disowned, Fantasies trapped within secrets untold. I'm tired of caring and hurting again Thinking this time's different when it's the same. Dreaming and wishing and hoping in vain In time he'll be desperately calling my name. I'm tired of burning and being put out When the fire within me requires a guard. A man who will know what love's all about And carry the fuel for my flame in his heart. I'm tired of reaching and grabbing on air, Sleeping alone pretending he's there. Daydreaming about some grand love affair... I'm tired of caring for those who don't care! "Most girls want a man with the mean green Don't wanna dance if he can't be Everything that I dream up A man that understands real love" |

Catalinamoon: thank you for you reply, this was written after I've read "Mermaid's tale", so it was inspired with the same feelings... Firecrakker: Thank you so much, it's very true I guess but when it happens to you time after time after time you kinda forget or maybe stop believing you deserve better... Thanks again! LM, Great poem whoever is not paying attention is missing out on something good it sounds. I hope you ca find somebody else. i bet there's someone already waiting. There's a difference between knowing a path and walking that path.... |

LM Hey, sweetheart!! I've missed you dearly, and in returning have made this the first poem I've read... and what a heart-felt poem it is! I LOVED it!! (as always) :0) This is so true... I can also empathize. It hurts, but please, realize the fact that you deserve SO much more!! Also, realize that it's his loss, not yours. I know it hurts, and I know you feel a loss, but it's not as much as he's missing out on. Great work I run, I fall. I walk, I sometimes crawl. I give, I take. All I can say is.....sigh! Unreal how you captured exactly how people feel when they are looking for love, but all they get is rejection. Thanks so much for putting that real feeling of desperation on paper for others to know they are not alone! Great work! |

the first line pulls you right in...and takes you through the agony and pain of being ignored. being alone even though you are right next to that person...is a lonely thing indeed |
