Clouds surround
but not the nimbus,
cirrus clouds of bright and shining day

clouds abound
strangling  my esophagus
that darken hope in hues of gray

clouds are found
in the dank sarcophagus
that used to be mind at play

clouds hang round
mocking all the dreams of us
and offering no hope to pray

clouds, have sound
seductive, soft,  susurrus
that want to steal my sense away

clouds abound
so I'll disappear without a fuss
quietly, gently, with no melee.

K, this has so many sides within it. You know what, I don't want to disappear quietly. It's not fair. Very interesting poem here, relating all around.

Sandra,
I don't want to go quietly either. I want to go kicking and screaming so that everyone knows I'm hurting. Whether I will or not is anyone's guess.
Thanks for the response, sorry you could relate.

nice. i thought the rhyme pattern was fun, and it gave an opportunity to use some really great words. i especially like the ending.

I don't know, if I ever got in a state without caring anymore I'd just go quietly, like I live my life now and I'd doubt anyone would notice my departure.
I enjoyed this. It's how I feel.
