The noise of reality grates when she steps towards the gate life drives by on a six-lane highway never stopping to let her in just slowing for a look then speeding away to places that shes never been Her eyes crawl round to peak through the gap but her face cant face whats peaking back a world devoid of hope where fate broadcasts through a daytime soap where gladness is madness and sadness despair thats when she needs him badly thats when hes not there She retreats from the gate in sorrow someday she'll try again but not tomorrow. |
