Hunger pains,
Gripping both stomach and heart,
Longing for
Something more,
Getting just the smallest part,
Nearly dead
Crumb of bread,
Can not sustain the being;
Wants instead,
To be fed
From full table he’s seeing.
Evil stains
Darkens both the soul and heart.

Evil within darkness grins,
With steel fangs,
Outward wander evil sends
To feed the needs now obtains
A steel fang,
To leave behind the red stains
Marking his soul’s new feeding
A steel slash
Drinks its warmth from the bleeding,
Catches it’s spirit at death,
A still slash,
The last heartbeat and last breath;
Evil gains,
Darkens both the soul and heart.

Starving is a terrible feeling to have...
I can share in that  feeling of need and hunger ...wanting sustenance...
