i gave you my love

and you took it.
you set me free
like a bird in flight.
you stayed by my side
through the loneliest nights.

i gave you the choice
to love me, you could have
been with me forever.
you said you would!
but you lied.

when you left,
all the love died inside.

i spent my nights
at home, all alone
and i cried.

the person i once was
had died, i became bitter, and cold,
my heart had grown old.
i felt used and unloved.
i am a girl with no love,
because i gave it to you
and you took it and left,
with out giving anything in
return.

Awl Girl how sad
I hope your heart mends
with Love there seems to come
so much pain
Maybe its a package deal I cant
be sure
But I hope your heart soon heals
For I truely believe that Love can be
wonderful if it is found and real.
