My Something by J.Sage (9/18/00) protected by copyright Disturbed By life and by dreams I want to close my eyes and see light White light The kind, the only kind That could wash away the dreams And maybe my reality Pitch black fantasies can't wash away Blood red love memories Any more than the light I have inside of me So I need something The right kind of something To help me Help me see nothing For a moment of my time Cover up the grime and the ghost Of our intensity I need a bright something The kind that might set me free The tunnel is dark The finish line is bleak And I'm done with the time behind me Something wash the tracks for me Kill the beast behind me Light up the possibilities ahead of me Blinders Down or up I see That I still need serenity No kind of anything Other than me Right now Could possibly spark my sanity So in my dreams and my reality No kind of light No colorful dream No finish line Will change the fact That the only hope I have right now Is me Yet, Dead in the night Dark alive Eyes wide I continue to seek… For my something that won't save me. |

I love the darkness and the want, the need, for the light, maybe to cast upon a dream, maybe to cover the darkness seeping inside. Disturbed, yes, deeply disturbing, and I like it! |
