Sitting in silent darkness
            smoke curling from my cigarette
the glow of ash reflecting off the rain flecked window panes.

Wanting to wonder, not wanting to know

And as I sit there wondering,
And stare at the silent clock.
I jack  another bullet,
Into the chamber of my Glock.

What now…….what now my love?

Oh, so powerful, and kind of scary. Be careful with that thing, ok?

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

That was the whole idea behind the poem Joel.....you never really know who it's for.

JJ.....yeah, kind of a different format for me.  I used to write free-form years ago, but stopped.  The forum inspired me to try again......this is my first in about 20 years.

Thank you both...and to all of you for your encouragement and support.

Great Job Hardrock
I have rubbed my husbands glock.
and have thought about using on me
but never on him.
I dont know who was going to get here
but your poem was great
And dont worry I would never have the guts to use it Im scared of guns
