this is not my normal style, i'm much more of a free verse person... it just came to me the other night as i tried to sleep. it's meant to be a song, and possibly (hopefully!), i will get to perform it tomorrow night. airplanes and architects crash burning into distant perspectives of my sight i know that i'm not fine stay together till we wake one day to see forevers we wasted we wasted all our time so sleep far away tonight and stay removed from me know no reasons know no rights or wrongs or betters just promise me you'll stay away forever crash falling into strange encounters in my sight they tell me that i will be just fine days i'd miss them i'll smile one day to see i never wasted any of my time sleep far away tonight and slip on out of me know my reasons know no sins or sleepless nights just promise me you'll stay away forever crash smolder with the dying embers of my life someday someday i'll be fine flow beneath me as i stand in line to watch the sunset we captured just in time so sleep far away tonight then fall back into me know the reasons that love was not in vain just promise not to stay away |

an interesting piece but, I must admit, I was a bit confused by the stay, go, play.. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

thanks guys. the reason it is confusing is because i am confused. it came out of the break up of a long term relationship that i went through recently. i laid in bed the other night thinking about how i never wanted to see him again because it hurts so much and also about how life is completely unbearable sometimes. i looked up and there was an airplane outside my window and it seemed as though it was going to crash and obliterate everything, and i thought how sad that would be since i have so much living left to do. the song is meant to be a progression out of a relationship, which is what accounts for the duality of the piece. |
