Beggar of love I am a beggar of your love. Occasionally crossing your path As you rush through your busy everyday life. I reach out my hand in the worn out glove. Eyes open wide, pleading , praying for warmth Hoping to collect a node, a smile, or simply a "Hi". Sometimes you barely notice I'm alive Brushing against my shoulder, passing me by, Ignoring the scream of my wide open eyes and I cry. Another time, you're so generous and kind As if you notice the words scrapped on a sign, like today when you pause for a minute and stay beside... I feed on little crumbs of your attention Your little crumbs are my only redemption The only thing that keeps me going, still I starve... I am just a little beggar of your love. Hun, you made me cry. I haven't cried in so long till today, and this made me cry again. I guess that's a good thing, but I feel it. It hurts so bad. It's almost gut-wrenching. Thank you for sharing.
