Stricken, some say handicapped,
I will never again see the world.
It's exuberent shades, its brilliant spectrum,
To mine eyes never again to be unfurled.

But while i've lost the false gift of sight,
That binds the common man's mind,
I may not be able to see "Our world",
But it's another world i find.

One in which people are what they truly are,
As the world is truly meant to be,
Through fake facads, and disguises,
The truth underneath's what i see.

Among other things, poverty, drugs, and senseless war
Bathe this soil in a deep, crimson red.
As another world, dark, and onimous
Slowly swallows ours, leaving only it's dead.

Hidden wars, murder, and pain
On the earth will take their toll.
Gnawing at root of the planet,
Threatening to swallow it whole.

This polluted world, with it's filty populace,
Hiding underneath one big lie,
Is truly a festering scab,
under a seething, garnet sky.

-"Death is the servant of the righteous."

!!!,
This is truly a dark look at the world. I agree that in this world we live in, many horrid things go on and that there are black places in the heart's of men hidden by a facade. At the same time, there are many people who try to make the world a brighter place for those who find it so dark and there is a Father who is preparing a place for His children to come home to, a home where the light is always on.

Well Done Indeed! With deep insight you have reflected on this world - which also happens to be something of an obsession of mine (smiles). A quatrain I wrote comes to mind which applies in a way - because there is no escape from the people of the world...

57.Dost thou think from this world if thou run
Thou shall find a paradise of joy and sun?
Dost thou not know - THERE too thou wilt find
Only those who from THIS world do come?

You write very beautifully !!! and I !!! at the words you write !!!

Thank you very much for your comments, and responses, first off.
Secondly, Janie, yes, that was a pretty dark look at the world. But luckily though, i dont really think like that. Well, not all the time at least.
Thirdly, Demoninlove, thanx for the response. Oh, and i read that quatrain you talked about. It was pretty cool poem. I enjoyed reading it. Yuove got a real gift there, keep it up like youve been doing.
In closing, thank you all for making me feel welcome here, and for your responses. Thank you VERY much.
