The Child of The Aurora By Theresa Rose The great raven owns my soul. She flies me high against the winds of time. I hold no more malice toward her claws in which I am now entwined. She clings to my heart. She allows me no room to feel free of my darkness. And I now seek no longer, To find the sun or the moon That she had took from my world, so long ago. Now, I see the peace of her flight. Now, I welcome the journey her black wings are taking me on. Into the sweet icy air ahead, I look. I feel the most embracing sense of joy. I smile, and I see the dance of my ancestors. They ride the skies over their frozen homeland. The swirling colors of the black skies. The skies that I have seen for all these days. I hear the call of all the wings, of the raven, have taken before me. Now, I see her wings not as the thief of a mother's child, But as the flight of the protector. The protector of lost spirits as I have been told. I raise up my arms to reached out for my greatest joy. No more fear, No more loneliness; Ne Kra Ra! Reunited at last. |

This is very different, but also compelling. It sounds Incan but I get overtones of Koori myth. Well done. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

Theresa...... This writing strikes a very familiar chord with me, as I live in Alaska! I am at home with all the images you portrayed in your work, and I would like to say how well you did it!!< !signature--> Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'!
