Panic takes hold though I must be bold Inside I am as frightened as a little child. Hairs stand on end I feel a shiver from walking out the door The whole world with eyes upon me yet no one looking but me. Panic takes hold and to me it is a mold of such surprise for it has me in control Endlessly it seems as my footsteps walk the steps into the world of the unknowns I feel the sticks prick my mind as each step I must take Panic takes hold and in my outings all I seek is to be inside again. Sometimes it seems we are, our own worse enemy. [This message has been edited by Rosebud1229 (edited 08-20-2000).] |

thx so much darkstar,it's nice to know I'm not alone. Sometimes I wander why I feel this way that the fear will just step aside but it's doomed there. |

Great Poem I too suffer from panic and mania I totally relate to all that you have written. But I found that it is a disease that must be fought even though there are times I just give up and wait for the next day or week or even a month Yes we are our worst critics and expect ourselves to do better to be better we long to be better and like others but there are so many of us out there you would be suprised. hang in there and dont give up the more you learn about it the easier it becomes to deal with Great Job on this Poem Jane |

thank you so much Jane, each day is a struggle for me and somedays I feel fine, I guess you know how I feel. Sometimes if I really have to push myself but just as an alcoholic I take one day at a time. Sometimes I feel quite foolish the way I feel. |

Very nice poem, which i enjoyed reading. And as for the last line, i totally agree (im a good example for this) that we are our own worst enemy. Good job on the poem! -"Death is the servant of the righteous." |

thx taramw, sometimes we put ourselves in a box and all along we have the key. I guess I have days like this, but somehow in my sadness I strive for a gladness from deep within which helps me day to day. |
