his eyes are wild
     created by arduous emotion,
     He fidgets in the chair
waiting for a voice to tell
     him what to say.
     If he reveals the secret,
     Will they understand?
     Perspiration of fear
     trembles is hands.
     In the silence, he prays
     for mercy, for death,

     a deliverance from the Craving

     Sweet Sarah, Sue, Beth’s,
     each have names,
     one after one, two
after three, ripe is the count
     binding photos in albums,
     staining images on the wall.
     Circling, he draws
     with instruments shiny,
pure as silver in a counterfeit,
in the black heart of mutant seeds
     the blood drips innocence
     sharp from the Edge

Well, I am going to go ahead and be honest and say I did not quite get the meaning in this poem. Maybe you could enlighten me. I did think it was intense, and beautifully written. And I like it, I just don't understand it. I am just dense tonight

Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think.

I think this is about a serial killer who is addicted to the thrill of the kill. "The voice" he waits for to tell him what to say is the same voice that tells him to kill.

Scary...

thank you LM, where was it?
dang I am getting foggy, LOL.

Catalinamoon, yes Janie
was right. It is about
a serial killer, who is
addicted to the thrill
of killing, yet he hates
that he is.....I was wondering
about bad "mutant" seeds,
are they born, or are they
created?  I wish I knew,
or greater minds than mine did,
so hopefully, somehow the mutation could
be elimnated, reversed
cured. thank you all very much~!
