Stay or Go (Brianna's Story)

Connor offered her his hand,
And assisted her to rise,
She somehow 'knew',
This one would not partake in her demise.

He led her inside the castle,
To a room fit for a princess,
'This room is for thee, oh fair Brianna,'
'A new place, a fresh start, a place ye can rest!' he said.

Brianna could see he was a Highlander through and through,
Yet there was more to him,
He was much more sensitive and aware than most people knew,
A handsome, intelligent man not merely a soldier!

'Rest little one, I'll wake thee for tonight's meal.'
'Thankye Connor, a rest will do me good!' Brianna smiled as he left her room.
'If only I hadn't lost my medicines and scrolls!' she thought,
'I'll have to start again from scratch,' she thought as she feel asleep on the soft and fresh smelling heather filled mattress.

Connor too could see,
There was far more to Brianna than that which meets the eye,
She was intelligent, sweet natured and beautiful,
And he vowed to himself he would get to know this begiling woman better and before another night goes by!!!!!
