At One Time at one time she thought she had it "all" love, the kind of poetry but not fantasy, 'twas real security, a lasting, forever lifetime of caring and sharing two as one drinking in each other enjoying the differences offering, accepting she exciting, naive, not a beauty but cute enough as they say it's "in the eyes of the beholder" anyway her smile... that's what captured everyone's look her dimples, her happiness always showing as life was so satisfying simplest of pleasures enhanced her her eyes... hazel bright, wide open, absorbing and craving to drink in every sight exposed to her told they were a dead giveaway to her innermost thoughts so now she keeps them lowered so the pain is not detected her hair... always long always soft and flowing a big part of who she was and is texture has changed as years have progressed yet style remains despite pressures she holds onto one thing that no one can take from her her eyes have lost their shine her smile has faded... ©M/M |

A nicely written poem. Excellent combining of the physcial with the non-physical. I hope she regains that light in her eyes..oneday. ilph. |

i almost missed this poem...glad i found it! i hope that the woman in the poem isnt sweet maureen.....because if it is...that shine may no longer be in your eyes...but there is a glow in your heart that just radiates warmth....youre beautiful inside and out dear poet. ~Dawn whatcha doing in this darkness baby when you know love will set you free? will you stay in the sea forever Drowning there for all eternity? ~Live |
