Mondsüchtig
(Full Moon)

I gathered desire
From the starlight
I drew God
In the sand
I watched Time
Dance with Love
Across the sea
In languid lunar grace

Uta, consider the moon, vessel of mystery and madness, how well you portray her moods.
Be well

I love full moons. This is really nice, a good escape. Short and sweet.

Wow Lo. perfectly timed looking out my window at a full moon right now. Your poem captures its magic and beauty perfectly.

Hi folks! And thanks for all the friendly comments!

Wren,

Thanks for asking   (I thought no one was going to ask  -  sniff).
Yes, the title Mondsüchtig is German; literally it means "addicted to the moon"  and translates roughly as "lunatic", but without meaning "insane" as it does in English. It refers to all people affected by the moon, both the "sane" and the "insane".
