When Does It Stop Mattering

climbing the mountain
...at bottom, the felled
need not fall... from the S
to the E... I keep scraping my
knee... matters not much...not at all.

having been there
before,though" forever"
to find, sometimes short...
each rock that i climb, reduces
in mind, but those fears are the gray of retort.

belies what i'm
living...if living is all
full of lies...i keep climbing
to find... a peace in my mind
but the empty keeps filling my eyes.

M, I just like this so much, the format, and the words, strong and painful and oh so true

i also like the format in this...and i think we all here related to the emptiness...here comes my preachy bit: this may sound strange..but be thankful for the emptiness for it could have been nothingness....at least with emptiness you feel the void created by something that has left you...but with nothingness..the void has always been and has never been filled...it just exists.
we may mourn emptiness, but just remember that void can be filled again.

when you know love will set you free?
will you stay in the sea forever

Maureen, Thank you for climbing the heights, going to the depths and climbing up again. Loved the format. Hope your life is not often empty.
