Old man shuffles, down the hall. Floor is hard, don't let me fall. Mind is sharp, sight is dim. Wonders if folks, remember him. The man who gave, them all a home. Lives now here, on his own. No one comes, to sit and listen. On wrinkled cheeks, tears glisten. Not for me, I know the score. Look how fast, time shut that door. Stop by,children, and hear a tale. All your striving, is to no avail. You can't take, the time to wait. Being old, will be your fate. Memories sweet, and bitter too. Not too long, before it's you. Take the chance, whilst your young. Before your too old, to get it done. Not like me, too busy and such. Told you I loved you, but not how much. Let them know, you hold them dear. Or alone you'll be, when you get here Click |

Oh Wow, Click!~This is wonderful! You have really out-done Yourself. My favorite of Your work, so far! An old man's lesson, taught by one still so young... Be Well, ~Sash~ |

Click - This is the first time that I have been into Dark Passions #2 and now I realise that I should have started here. You have a very special gift to be able to see the life and thoughts of an old man when (I presume) you are still younger. Kepp up the great work - Kirsty |

This is phenomenal, makes me think of my Grandmother, so old, and stranded in the nursing home. Very profound observations, I think. Thanks for writing this. Catalinamoon |
