As I walk through the world that has but a thin veneer of civilization and the primitive man struggles against himself I remember Here be dragons crouched and lurking As I see crimes of passion committed In the name of justice or patriotism And see the weak struggle under manifest burdens I sense Here be dragons poised to rend As I see good men being overwhelmed by the evil, subtle demons that possess the soul without tearing it from it's moorings I'm aware Here be dragons skulking and shadowed As I see strength pitted against meekness In a fight to the death of reason And a mans spirit crushed in weakness I know Here be dragons waiting without patience And I know that within every man Is the potential to rend and tear others For we are not tamed, and bear only a small semblance of humanity Here be dragons within. "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

though man has a good heart your so right we constantly struggle. There are always dragons that we must literally move to get to the right paths. Beautiful poem |

Let's all conquer our own dragon's - that would be a good start!! Hon, this is brilliant, quite visionary. Great job *Our deeds travel with us from afar, and what we have been makes us what we are..* ~Isis~Goddess~~Sovereign of the Spirit~ |

Demoninlove. Excorcism! thye dragon's breath took care of the holy water so no excorcism . Thanks for the kind words. Cat - thank you for your comments. I hope you don't mean the poem's so deep the meaning got lost. Rosebud1229 - I agree 100% Isis thank you for dropping by. If you're interested in how I'm dealing with dragons you should read Learning to Live which talks about friendship's hand. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
