Wings of the raven folds over Shadows enclosed time, Beast silently drifts through mind Restless sleep--endless deep Ah, the quest for sweet meat; Dream's silent stalk, corridors of the city Under dark moon's illuminated void Drift ancient long night shades; This hunger burns unleashed Knows no barriers in restless slumber, Longs for the taste of forbidden feast; Clenched teeth denied, sudden sigh Tangled sheets…twitching feet. Anguished despair gives into the crave Overwhelming salty waves, Not denied in dreams' illusion; Safe haven of wonderful sleep Unchained reality Freedom to stalk the meat. Cawing crow shattered night, Morning's glaring red light-- Copper tasting fantasy dissipates On wings of fleet scattered dreams; Aching feet stumble to porcelain sink, Shaking hand reaches out, Touches reflecting pain Inspects crimson flecked teeth; Ah, sweet dream's feast!
