If you were to peel me away Layer after layer, Down to the naked core, You would find only Scar tissue. For I was ripped out Long, long ago. *****kynder Sunshine can not bleach The snow, Nor time unmake what Poets know. Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Some very powerful writing. Never give up hope, though. |

Definite purveyor of pain...but well written too. And even scar tissue is part of the healing process. We go on from there. Good read. jwesley |

True Kynder true! But further in/down beyond the scar tissue is a loving heart/soul just waiting/longing for love.. The scars will heal, the soul will mend and love will someday be yours again.. *hugs* Great descriptions here ![]() I'll tell you this...... This is so real. Why do I suddenly feel like an onion, peeling off layer upon layer. I have heard life is like an onion you peel it off layer by layer. Sometimes you cry. I hope you don't cry too often. Excellent poem. Kethry Kethry. When dark of night steals your soul. Think of me and be made whole. |

You made me think about that song by Red Hot Chili Peppers called Scar tissue. I believe we would all be unpleasant to look at if all the scars from our pain and sorrow stayed with us and healing didn't do its task...James |
