Pink Champagne In Coffee Mugs

through yellow trees and tagging earth
through cups of times ago
through tangled scenes and tripping sky
through drips of all I know.
~
pink champagne in coffee mugs
ash trays made of shell
windows salted tightly plugged
release me from this hell.
~
through dancing bruise and seeping life
through hauls of nevermore
through stabbing words and sharpened knife
through seeds in resting core.
~
blinding sounds escaping night
filthy feet in wool
stale air suffocating sight
save me from this deadly pull.
~
through surfaces scratched and torn
through tattered means of sleep
through mazes of my faces worn
through promises I keep.

I really enjoyed reading this i though that it was very well written and sort of "out there"  with the words you were using but that is why i liked it, thank you for sharing

Spit Fire......phew the intensity of this poem blew me away...I don't know what to say. I want to grab a hold of you and take you to that porch of yours out into the sun. Another great poem. Take care, big hug and smiles ~

I have a lot of mugs to fill!
Will you help drink the Champagne?
It might take all night and we could
make some poetry? Or we could just
go for a swim in the ocean or both.
I wanna ride the sea horses with you!!
And get cot in a swirl!!
How do i give you a hundred votes?
See you at the bottom!!

Amazing use of words. There are so many images floating in here, very cool, very interesting. (And I used to drink pink champagne in coffee cups, in the garage, with a cowboy, and loved every second of it.)

I think you just topped yourself, SF! (If thats possible!) I adore this poem, with all its contradictions in the descriptions. (Pink champage in coffee mugs, for an example) Exellent work!
