Well, as of today it's over
I've packed up our memories
in a pretty little box
and burried it deep under my bed
It used to shine,
my pretty little box,
but now it lays there dull
Raped of it's color and glitter
My precious knight
has left my arms
for treasures unknown to me,
but apparently more valuable
No anger lives here,
just sorrow
and misplaced hope
and heavy sighs
and nausea
and an aching heart
Things that I cannot hide
in my pretty little box

(Goodbye Greg)

Note: Well, I didn't have any title ideas so I just figured I'd put something on that was at least a bit interesting. At least in my opinion   Thanks & take care!

the child that cries
in my flesh and makes
my bones ache

Great expression of those feelings of loss. How sad when the knight turns out to be the opposite.

I liked the whole concept..putting things away, well described, I could feel the tone of it all. Very well done!!

DE...this makes me want to run to the box, toss out all the contents and fill it with new shiney memories for you.  Excellent work.  I love it.  Hardrock

I like this poem and remember Pandora also had a pretty little box on the outside.

Great piece this one D.E, very sad and beautiful. I especially liked the title.
The best part I must say.

A crimson pool, so warm and deep
Lulls me to an endless sleep
Your hand in mine,
-I will be brave
Take me from this earth
An endless night,-thi

I very much liked this one. Good imagery and heartfelt emotion. I'm sorry about your loss but it allows new and better things to be gained. Thanks you for sharing.
