As I sit in the darkening shadows
Watching the water move toward the shore,
I await the great painter's arrival,
To enrich and refresh me once more.
The sky above is His canvas.
The sun and the clouds are His tools.
The pinks and the reds and the oranges,
Are only a few of God's jewels.
The glow of the sun warms my being.
The "picture" is painted with ease.
I long to have it forever,
But it's gone...as if on a breeze.
The blackness of what once was canvas,
Glitters, now, with diamonds so bright.
Could anything else bring such beauty,
As the sunset God paints before night?

Oh LT - Is there anything more beautiful than a quiet sunset on the water's edge???  You have brushed wonderful images with your poets pen.  Bonnie
