a wall of words came tumbling down-- my vulnerable heart, open and naked, now bruised and battered. i came to you always in truth, honesty was ours. but this day the familiar scattered-- bits of us were ripped away, chewed and spit as waste... our words chose different seeds, and grew to different rains. we threw our minds as knife blades; swords to wound... my soul weeps as, tainted, our friendship flounders. i long to gather it up, but reach it, i cannot. blindly i build a wall never meant for you... i learn to guard my wounded heart from the battle you've chosen to rage. my soul, i keep close, the tears there are endless, as i realize it is no longer safe-- even with you... -dgvarner "i speak in written word--my lips, no sound may utter..." dgvarner |

Wonderful, such truth captured and made mortal. As is usual this is great, and I love it. |

Lessons learned early are blades swallowed to carve from inside reactions which cut both us and others. Your verse is a double edged sword...and extremely intuitively written. Tainted, perhaps, but a wonderful read. Evan |
