On The Mend My sister, praise her name Said come on sis it'll be a game So we waltzed into the room Which all at once lost it's gloom She knew of course you be there I acted as if I didn't care We sparkle and we chatter I pretend you don't matter My sister bless her eyes Said come on sis he's no prize So we laughed out loud and long As the band played our favourite song We both flirted and we charmed I ignored her on your arm We glitter and we shine I pretend you were never mine My sister the very wise Said come on sis dry those eyes So we charmed our way in And gave the party zing We were graceful and so sure All the men wanted some more We shimmer and we glisten I pretend you even listen My sister love her to bits Said come on sis he's had his chips Come and party join the throng Time to stop feeling you're in the wrong We laugh and have a blast Wonder if I can even last We laugh, giggle and we joke I pretend you were just some bloke |

Sound like a great relationship with your sister! I like the personal way your relationship with her comes across in this poem. You have a unique style of writing, I really enjoy.. |

Denise you know what it's like, so they say men are like buses, they either come all at once or not at all. Thanks for the insight though you know how much I admire your writing. |
