The moonlight comes tonight,
And with it comes thoughts of you,
Let's call the moonlight our own,
A few nights a month just we two.

All dreams realised,
All troubles will lessen,
Moonlit strolls hand in hand,
Our gifts from heaven.

Talking, sharing, our anam cara,
Moments for lovers alone,
No work, no anger, no pressure,
Our true sanctuary, our home.

Sharing our dreams and fantasies,
Sharing our secrets and realities,
Singing together, both in voice and in soul,
Watching moon beams dance through the trees.

The nightsky gives way to colours of pink, orange and blue,
Dawn is just approaching, yet all too soon,
We cherish these last moments together,
Already anticipating the next rise of the moon.

With great physical pain our clasped hands they part,
Already our bodies, too far apart,
The beginnings of a void already taking hold,
Right inside our longing hearts.

But cara it won't be long,
Until the moon rises again and the heaven's play our song,
I'll be waiting here on the Cape,
Come back soon to where your heart belongs...

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

This is a lovely verse...
simply charming flow...

If all was light...then I would have never learnt the dark...from which such truth evolves
from which evolves the light...
