My heart weighs heavy with an emptiness.
Something missing from the memory of my heart.
Something I don't know controls me,
Puts me through the motions of a sullen girl.
Someone sits atop my heart, waiting for the day they'll be revealed to me.
A barrier stands between us,
An invisible wall of hollow bodies with no faces.
Covering my eyes with ashes from dreams that died,
The dreams I didn't have the strength to pursue.
Forcing me back farther from the thing I desire to discover.
Only tears wash away the ashes.
Tears cried for no reason.
Cried only because I feel the emptiness inside.
I want what belongs to me.
That which I have a right to.
The piece that will make me whole.
Always just out of my reach.
So close I can taste it, feel it under my skin.
I'm tired from chasing the shadows of an empty heart.
It slows me down and drags me through visions of a rough life I've tried so hard to forget.
The words I pretend I never heard,
Stand in my mind in neon lights.
My sad song always in my mouth.
My smile formed on lips edged with sorrow.
But I smile this smile anyway,
Because it is my own...
And when I find what will fill this gap,
I'll have something to be proud of.
A smile without an edge.
A song interrupted by laughter.
Dreams not born from tears.
And a heart not missing pieces of itself.
Then my sad memories won't be forcefully forgotten.
Just remembered as what made me stronger.
And I'll remember the empty feeling as the force that drove me forward.
A lucky star of an obscure color.
Then I'll be thankful I knew it,
But happy to see it gone.

Good enough I hope... it's from a really beautiful song. Well, the english translation of it anyway.... it was in Japanese...
