There's a sweet summer's rain Falling to the ground There's a fine mist above And starlight all around There's a soft moonglow Gently lighting the sky There's a nightingale in song As she flies by There's a tenderness within A feeling deep inside There's a burning desire That not even I can hide There's a certain something Attracting an ancient time There's a restless heart Giving me a sign There's a chill tonight Deep down to the bone There's a flash in the sky A murmur in the stone There's a green forest awake Whispering to the night There's a soft footstep Of an angel in flight There's a peeping of a frog A drizzle of the rain There's a peaceful silence In the pride and the pain There's a being for reason And a reason for being There's a sign in the stars But we are not seeing There's a rushing of water Over the rocks, cold and flat There's a rainbows edge In the spot we once sat There's a knowledge for all In the sparkling glass There's a dew forming On the crisp, dry grass There's a sky of grey And a sea of blue There's a meaning to this daze An explanation overdue There's a gladness in the glen As songbirds sing loud There's a dark storm brewing Up there in the clouds There's a bearing on life A vagueness somewhere There's a kindness floating Around in the air There's a glimmer tonight Hanging like a shadow There's a wild rose blooming In the meadow There's a broken heart far off Wishing you were near There's a longing for love Knowing you aren't here And there's a yearning in the breeze tonight |

With words like that, then whoever was being yearned for must have felt the yearning floating to them on the breeze. Very nice. Linda M. |

felt like this more than a few times when I was in the Canadian Armed Forces A lot of lonely nights ( no broken heart ... but lots of yearning ) |

ChristopherJ~ Lovely images flash through this one. 'There's a glimmer tonight Hanging like a shadow There's a wild rose blooming In the meadow' 'there's a yearning in the breeze tonight' Beautiful. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
