I enter the garden
of your soul
reach for your hand there
A rose, so fragrant,
is tucked
in the wildness of
my flowing hair

You lead me to the center
where a small pond
reflects in blue
myriad colors of flowers
as I lay down
there with you

A bird sings in far off distance
In the water,
a fish splashes in glee
we lay with only our breath between us
our love, our passion
free

In your garden I have found
a love so peaceful and sublime
never leaving,
I give myself to you
now
and for all time.

I love the flow and beauty of this poem.

A beautiful homage to the consumptive poets of the Romantic Era.  *applauds wildly and drops a ballot in the slot*
