Last night I watched a teardrop slowly trace it's way across your lovely cheek. It hovered a moment at the tip of your nose as if to tease me and make me feel ashamed for hurting you so badly. Finally it broke itself free and came to a rest on your soft pillow to join countless others of it's kind that I never knew existed. Christopher M. Grimm |

Ouch. Waht an incredible story of introspection revealing. Wow Chris, I'm surprised this was so strong, ones this short usually don't impact so firmly. Chris |

*sigh* I have cried countless rivers of those tears, that he never even knew exsisted. And if he did know, he would alternately feel shamed for me, and uncomfortable. Never realising that to hold me and wipe those tears away could have made a world of difference in a fragile heart. And now, he holds not the key to enter my heart anymore, and maybe just maybe we can chalk it up to a lack of attention to a small detail like tears. Awesome poem CM ~Heather |

It takes real talent to put so much emotion into so few words. You certainly have the talent.....and my vote. |

Chris this is absolutely wonderful I hope it makes it into the book I have not put in two as I am afraid if I do, I won't make one, LOL I cast votes and lose position, but I think I shall just go ahead and post another poem Maybe a whole bunch of short ones will make it. I wish we could make poetry a HOT item and be able to sell eBooks. It is one thing I do on the net but I tell people that they do not sell well, which to me is a darn insult. Oh yeah, this one definitely gets my vote. Very tender, very sad... well writ my friend. Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. JP "Everything is your own damn fault, if you are any good." E. Hemmingway |

What can I say that hasn't been said about this poem already? It's great... there, I found a word no-ones used Eric. "We are the music makers and we are the makers of dreams." - Willy Wonka. |

Too bad we can't vote twice for a poem. But, doesn't mean we can't send one back to the top - In case, someone hasn't seen it. ~netswan |

Chris- Well once again you have left me in awe and just sitting here thinking. I believe that is what poetry is suppose to do...and you have certainly achieved that my friend. The pure, raw emotions felt in this one just hits me...I really like this one Chris! Certainly one of the best of yours ever!! -Holly I know well what I am fleeing from but not what I am in search of. Michel de Montaigne |
