sight of sirocco's final morn ... The dreary downside upside down come a calling on a whitened sheet of wind's painful sorrow the slowliest slow every known to man creeps still upon the land('s) ending season the marsh's wetness seeps into lily pads of comfort and joy abounds the natural world the glen's song rises from yellow and tangerine birds hidden by summer's gloaming glow the water's calm smoothed by unwind floats upon dreams of whitecapped waves the unclouded sky-blue sky looks out to higher's blackened high soon cranberry brown returns to our hazen humid sight of sirocco's final morn why, oh why can we not see the beauty in its patience(?) MAMiller~ What a lovely tribute to the quieting of the wind known as Sirocco~ From the Sahara it comes with the dry, dusty winds ... picking up the much-needed moisture so vital to the lands as it skirts across the Mediterranean Sea. It's such a pretty name for the wind ... and I would guess a relief when it's done howling it's song. I enjoyed this very much. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
