Fisherman The fish like silver wishes flash behind the rock, a slither of a dance. More then this dream a fisherman’s chance to contemplate the day. Beyond the place of pool's cold this poet told of a fisherman's strong and steady hold and what she thought to spin of gold was a fiber pure and unafraid made from peace and love. So from her chair she cast with pole and filament naught a line of words with nimble fingers fast across a keyboard the letters sought to find connection in this pool vast and the fisherman's heart was caught. |

You weave a line so pure and thin It hooks 'em on and reels 'em in Your reel of real and fine of line Will please us til the end of time If you think one is on the hook You better take a second look Your fan club's bigger than you think I hope you don't run out of ink (er, I mean fishing line) Love Liz |

Someone once told me that fishing is like a trip, the destination is what is important, not the ride... (not that I agree totally, while the destination is important, the ride is not without its merits) I believe it was a wonderful fishertype florist... beautiful poetry Martie. ethome--If you think I am clever, then I will try to be...thanks. Mike--I think what I said was that it wasn't the catch that was important, but the place and the beauty and the slapping of the water on the boat and all that stuff, the fish is just added pleasure, but not necessary to catch a good day. But you are right, they are both important |
