To think people live in this Eden growing Eve’s temptation whipping up strudel and dark sweet juice poured into paper cups - sticky on children’s hands, harvesting the ambience for three months of the year not too much to ask, really, to wend down country roads plump with wildflowers and berries growing your family strong beneath scotch pines where neighbors come together to brew apple wine or lend a careworn hand and in the off-season Christmas tree farms gleam winter warmth. © 2000 Corinne Bailey [This message has been edited by Corinne (edited 08-12-2000).] |

Corinne~ Very easy to see how Adam was tempted ... such a harvest of apples ! I knew I'd enjoy it just by viewing the title. Something there just called my name ! Must be the 'Eve' in me ! LOL ! ![]() You pour a good glass of the cider, mam. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thank you, Tony, a wonderful, enchanted place that captured my spirit yesterday. Marge, thank you, lady. Must be a way to get there... Hoot, thank you! Redheart angrybraids (cool nickname), I'm convinced that certain places call us, places that feel right to us, whether it's because we grew up there or perhaps have been there in other lives, or maybe just the feel of the place appeals. Whatever it is, it captures the magical part of life. Thank you, Martie, another similar place is Julian in Southern Cali, yes? Irish Rose, thank you, and it's good to see you here again. Corinne |

Corinne wow this an amazing image, wonderfully written poem. Those apples sound heavenly. "Beyond all this good is the terror,The grip of a mercenary hand,When savagery turns all good reason, There's no turning back, no last stand,"I.Curtis |
