Waiting, Endlessly Waiting How often must I sit alone Waiting for the phone to ring Living my life in stolen hours Waiting for my heart to sing Waiting, endlessly waiting For our time to be How many times can I cry Waiting for you to appear knowing you're in her arms Yearning for you to be near Waiting, endlessly waiting For our love to be How many hours must I lose Waiting for you to find time Hoping that you're worth this pain Waiting for just a little sign Waiting, endlessly waiting For our chance to be How often can I hear the lie Waiting for you to come to me Feeling lost, and so alone Wishing that I could truly see Waiting, endlessly waiting For us to be free [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 08-12-2000).] |

Marsha - I hope this isn't really you - the waiting can destroy a soul and make a heart break. Great poem, but dark, too. |

It was, I've decided that it's not going to be any more! Thanks LngJhnAg but it'll hurt for a while yet I think. But I'll survive. [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 08-11-2000).] |

Great poem Marsha, nice work... loved the Living my life in stolen hours line... but sometimes one has to weigh if the weight of the wait is not too much and if it is actually worth the wait... regards, sudhir |

Given Time ~~~ Daybreak cascading heavens' voices proclaiming everything must pass ~~~ wrote this a while back ... seemed appropriate Rex |

It's often that you don't find out the answer to your question Sudhir, until after the event. But I'm trying. Rex thank you, your words are so true. Poetry where would I be without it. Don't answer to far down to ever come up. And yours always helps me rise. |

How I loved the way you described what it is like to wait hopefully for a person you want, and yet ache for it. It is indeed, not a good place to stay, but beautifully described. Thank you. ~Artistic~ "Dreams are the touchstones of our characters" -Henry David Thoreau |

Oh how I know this pain. Waiting... but 'till when? Will it happen? Should I try? I am sorry that you are here too, I too, unfortunately am sitting on that same bridge with you. It's so good when its there that it almost seems wrong to think it will never be... but I have given up so many more opportunities during the wait that it makes me sick to my stomach. Then I say, ok... I'm done. Thats it, move on.... Then I see her and somehow she manages to so sincerely but unknowingly I think, restart that tiny little spark of hope. This is enough to consume a persons life. Please dont let yourself stay too long, the longer you wait, the harder it gets. {{{HUGZ}}} Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Thank you ThUndeRKYsS, I know that most of us do wait, it's a case of how long. Also if we give up the wait, do we throw something too precious away. Still no one said life was easy! "Living my life in stolen hours" this line says it all marsha...its just you and me and thunderkyss on that bridge?? LOL..nah..i think this is one a lot of people can identify with...its a sad place to let yourself dwell..only wait long enough; know when to say enough..if you have to wait too long..its not worth the wait (i should be taking advise from myself...!!) well written marsha! dg "Half of what i say is meaningless; but i say it so that the other half may reach you." -Kahlil Gibran |

Dee you are so right, and I doubt I'll ever be wise enough to know when the time is the right time to say, this is the end of the line! |
