Well, this is my first post at Open Poetry. Hope you like it!! ____________________________________ We couldn't believe it, it happened so fast. The guns were shooting, shooting now so past. Terror reigned, on that fateful day. We ran through hallways, waiting for terror to go away. Many were injured, few were dead. So in the newspaper, that we read. The panic reigned, throughout that school. And on that day, our sense of security. Had flown away. I heard the shot ring, through the air. And I was thinking, why isn't life fair? Why do we suffer, this human pain? I hope that something, like this would, never happen again. ____________________________ "Tell my girls that I love them." the last words of Columbine dead. --Chibi Dragon |

Chibi, welcome to Passions and I have to say that this piece is very good. Your mention of this horrible event was thoughtful and well-expressed. I'm going to look forward to more pieces from you as I'm curious to what you're going to come out with next. Thanks for sharing, Nate Nathan |

It must have been a truly horrific ordeal for all those people to go through. And you have captured a piece of that fateful day here. Write more ... I look forward to seeing them. I saw your empathy in this... thank you. Linda M. |
