I've been reading the writing on the wall
but trying to see through tears
doesn't work at all
it's not fair
it's not right
so Im not reading tonight

I can hear the winds of goodbye
blowing over my soul and I try
to cover up my heart just in time
it's not fair
it's not right
so I'm staying inside tonight

I can see that what we had
must have been all in my head
and all the things you never said
it's not fair
it's not right
so I'm not looking tonight

Maybe I'll look tomorrow
with my eyes open wide
but for now my eyes are closed and you know why
it's not fair
it's not right
I don't wanna see the light

but most of all
I don't wanna see the darkness
of good-bye

..............(sigh)

This sure brought back some emotions for me. I had a sigh at the end also. Lovely piece here. Juls

Kay-lynn,

Tears flowing as I read this very touching poem. You describe this emotion extremely well.

The best and most beaytiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched...but are felt in the heart (Helen Keller)
