Sing me a lullaby daddy I know you don’t like to Afraid you can’t sing well enough Neither could Bob Dylan And he was a poet too Tell me a bedtime tale Daddy you weave them oh so well Hansel and Gretel Where oh silly daddy Did you come up with names as those? Pray with me daddy Teach me how to pray I’m just a little girl now But I’ll be big someday I know you’re afraid the words won’t come Daddy foreshadows in your eyes Your sweet princess till kingdom come Daddy there’s solace that you’re wise You pat my back while I suck my thumb [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 08-09-2000).] |
