“RAINDROPS FALLING DOWN” Have you ever felt the falling rain, as it kissed your pretty face? And it came down on your shoulders, while you stood there, in all your grace? Did you ever sing a pretty ballad, about falling raindrops when they fell? Knowing they would touch the ground, and no matter what, they would never tell… Never would they ever say, how you sang, or paid them your tribune… Or singing them a tender love song, as the raindrops fell, in the late afternoon… “Raindrops, raindrops, kiss me so sweet, touch my face, as you fall from the sky, I must sing out, as I love to sing to you, my lovely raindrops, as you fall and drop on by…” I raise my arms upward, to the heavens, As I close my eyes and listen for you… And you fall down all over my being, with a softness, that I want to continue… Oh, come down, sweet little raindrops, Come and touch me, and cleanse my soul… I love the feelings that you give me, and I trust in you, as your tenderness, makes me whole… Bill Charles |
