I bow my head and pray To love again some day When my heart is healed And the wounds are sealed No longer will I cry Or sit and wonder why Things turned out as they did Farewell to the past is bid The blood freely seeps Like the tears I weep Cleansing my heart Hoping for a new start The pain will subside Behind a wall I hide Safe from all harm Away from love's charm The candle will burn As time's pages turn Towards what will be Once I find me Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
